Chair Yoga is a great way to safely improve flexibility and strength, without the risk of strain and injury. Chair Yoga can:

Hatha Yoga

Beginner & Intermediate Class

A beginner friendly to intermediate ability hatha yoga class which is good for tired and achy bodies, as well as for active, sporty people who want to prevent injury and improve recovery.

Information For All Classes

Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, as limited spares are available. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket or warm clothes for the end of class. A blanket or rolled up towel can be useful for padding joints in some poses.

Before attending your first class, please let me know if you answer ‘Yes’ to any of the following questions:

  1. Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition, and you should only physical activity recommended by a doctor?
  2. Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?
  3. In the past month, have you had a chest pain when you were not doing physical activity?
  4. Do you lose balance because of dizziness, or do you ever lose consciousness?
  5. Do you have a bone or joint problem that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity?
  6. Is your doctor currently providing you drugs for your blood pressure or heart?
  7. Do you know any other reason why you should not do physical activity.

If you answer ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, please let me know before the class.
